Domain Availability Checker

Check whether a domain is registered or open for registration using the official registry record.

Domain Availability Checker

Look up a domain and the results will appear here.

How it works

Where does the data come from?
The official registry RDAP service for the domain's extension (from the IANA list) is queried first; if there is no RDAP, the registry's official WHOIS server is used. Nothing is guessed; if the registry doesn't publish a field, the reason is shown. Results are cached for 30 minutes.
How to use it
Type a domain (e.g. example.com) and run the lookup; you don't need http://, www or a path. The result appears within seconds and the page URL can be shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a "Not registered" result mean the domain can definitely be registered?

The registry has reported that no registration exists; however, reserved, premium or restricted domains may still be unavailable for registration. Do the final check with your registrar.

Where does the result come from?

The query is sent to the extension's official RDAP or WHOIS server. If the server does not respond, the result is not interpreted as "not registered"; it is shown as an error.
