HTTP Status Code Checker

Check which HTTP status code a site's homepage returns, whether it uses HTTPS, and its response time.

HTTP Status Checker

Look up a domain and the results will appear here.

How it works

Where does the data come from?
A real HTTP request is sent to the site; the status code and response headers are read and redirects are followed for up to 10 hops. Technology detection relies only on evidence seen in the response. Results are cached for 10 minutes.
How to use it
Type a domain (e.g. example.com) and run the lookup; you don't need http://, www or a path. The result appears within seconds and the page URL can be shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an HTTP status code?

It is the three-digit code a server returns in response to a request: 2xx means success, 3xx redirect, 4xx client error and 5xx server error.

Which address does the check start from?

The check starts at http://domain/ and safely follows redirects to show the status code of the final page.
